Customer story: Forcit is one of Itaito’s longest-term customers

FORCIT Group is a Nordic player whose competence extends from blasting and mining expertise to defence systems. The Group consists of three business areas: FORCIT Explosives is a leading manufacturer of civil explosives and provider of related services. FORCIT provides extensive consulting, measurement and training services in the extractive and construction sectors. FORCIT Defence is a reliable partner for defence systems in the global market.

Forcit is one of Itaito’s longest-term customers: we have been on a shared journey for more than 10 years now. The IT services were initially outsourced to Itaito because Forcit wanted to free up the time of its own four-person IT expert team for the strategic development of the internal IT environment and business.

Forcit currently utilises all of Itaito’s service categories, from capacity and cloud services to maintenance, monitoring and management services.  The high quality of the partnership has been maintained through a jointly agreed customer relationship management model, which includes regular operative and strategic service meetings.

In 2018, Itaito became part of the Nordic Dustin Group, which has deepened the cooperation even further. The merger has made it possible to centralise Forcit’s IT services in a single company, which has been one of the key objectives of Forcit’s IT strategy.

“Our most significant joint project has been outsourcing the entire Nordic Service Desk to Itaito. This has required the partner to adopt a special and challenging environment and be able to work seamlessly together with the customer’s own IT support personnel. As a result of the challenging and ambitious project, we managed to build a Nordic-wide, fast and high-quality Service Desk,” says Roger Rehnman, ICT Infrastructure Manager at Forcit. He has been satisfied with Itaito’s way of tackling new challenges and developing the IT environment and cooperation.

Over the years, the most important thing for Forcit has been honest and open communication with its IT partner, as well as Itaito’s professional skills, which can be trusted year after year. “We appreciate Itaito’s quick reactions and professionalism,” says Rehnman. “Because of our industry, the continuous improvement of data security is especially important, and so are reliable and cost-efficient systems,” he continues. Rehnman describes Itaito’s way of working as honest and based on the customer’s real needs.
